In the days leading up to Saturday’s Class 2-A championship game, the support for DeSales’ football team reached a fever pitch within the concrete walls of the school and spread beyond as the Colts captured the hearts of people in the South End. Colt pride was evident as businesses changed their marquee signs to root for coach Harold Davis’ squad — Churchill Downs even changed its iconic Twin Spires to glow orange to back the Colts.
