Missing most of last season was rough for Raven Merriweather, who played in only 10 games before being sidelined with a torn ACL. But now that she’s recovered, basketball is fun again for her and the sky’s the limit for the Sacred Heart senior.
Playing in her second game back, Merriweather filled the stat sheet with 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead the host Valkyries to a 61-46 victory over Lexington Catholic on Tuesday night.
“It’s so good to have her back, seeing her smiling and having fun,” Sacred Heart head coach Donna Moir said. “Nobody wants to go through what she had to go through.
