First All-Catholic Boys Golf Team
Top golfers from this past year are honored
The Louisville Catholic Sports Network All-Catholic Teams recognize student-athletes who played at the top level during the regular and postseasons within their sport. Players are selected based on nominations and feedback from local coaches and the Louisville Catholic Sports Network staff that covered the teams during the 2012 season.
St. Xavier’s golf team lost a heartbreaking match at the state tournament this past year. The Tigers wounded up finishing in second place after winning the sixth region title. Super freshman Michael Sass won the seventh region individual title while four other Tigers joined him the top ten.
Trinity’s season came to a close after a seventh place finish in the seventh region tournament. DeSales and Holy Cross had solid showings in the fifth region but neither teams qualified for the state tournament.
