Bio: Golfweek’s top-ranked junior girl in Kentucky; Ranked in Top-50 nationally in Class of 2013;  All-State Golf Team - 2010 and 2011; Academic All-State Team -  2009, 2010, 2011; Sacred Heart Ambassador; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; Captain of the SHA Golf Team; Fourth year of Varsity Golf for SHA; Also played JV Field Hockey as a freshman before choosing to focus on golf.

 

1. What is your proudest athletic moment? As an individual, I’m most proud of my Top-5 finishes in AJGA and other national golf tournaments.  As a team member, I’m proudest of winning the State Championship by a record 43 strokes after finishing runner-up the previous two years.

 

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? A smoothie or a yogurt parfait

 

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? “All American Girl” by Carrie Underwood

 

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? I admire PGA Tour player Adam Scott, not only for how well he plays the game, but how he handles himself with class and integrity.

 

5. What is your favorite movie quote? In “Miss Congeniality”, when Miss Rhode Island describes her idea of the perfect date. “I’d have to say April 25th.  Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.”

 

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? My faith guides me in everything I do, and that includes sports.  It helps me put everything in the proper perspective.  Golf is a game of honor, and my faith guides me to compete with integrity and respect.

 

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Scooby Doo

 

8. All time favorite board game? Monopoly

 

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app? iPhone, Twitter

 

10. What is your favorite local restaurant? Wild Eggs

 

11. What is your favorite reality TV show? The Bachelor/Bachelorette – I’ve actually been to the Bachelor mansion. My brother plays golf for Pepperdine, which is nearby.

 

12. What is your greatest fear? Losing a relative or close friend.

 

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? My work ethic.

 

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt

 

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? Whenever I’m playing golf, because that’s what I most enjoy.

 

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it? When I was a freshman, my teammates nicknamed me “Peanut” because I was pretty small.

 

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service? The Episcopal Church Home

 

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? I’m a fast runner.  I don’t get to use it much in golf, but I played field hockey for many years. I still run for fun and to stay fit.

 

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why? I would travel backward so I could spend more time with my grandma, who died when I was 8.
