INDIANAPOLIS -- The Great Lakes Valley Conference has named Bellarmine University junior defensive specialist Jaclyn Ohlmann Baden Defensive Player of the Week
Ohlmann led Bellarmine (7-3, 3-1) to a 3-0 record, carding straight-set victories over Kentucky State and Missouri S&T, where the Knights' all-time dig leader registered no reception-errors, and a 3-1 win against Drury.  The Louisville native opened the weekend with 61 digs, 15 assists, eight service aces, and one kill against division rivals Drury and Missouri S&T.  Ohlmann also turned in a solid performance for the Knights with 13 digs, eight service aces (.944) and six assists against Kentucky State. 


As a team, Bellarmine hit .354 for the match, closing with a .536 percentage in the third set, which saw the Knights record 15 kills without an error in large part to Ohlmann's perfect attack (1.000) in 16 total attempts.  She also led the Knights with 25 digs against the Panthers and nabbed 23 against the Miners. Ohlmann leads the league with 6.49 digs per set and is third in service aces at .43 per set.
This week's honor marks the third recognition for Ohlmann having received the accolade on Oct. 8 and Nov. 12, 2012.
Bellarmine visits No. 23 Indianapolis on Friday for a divisional matchup.  First serve is at 7 p.m.
