Senior forward tackles the questions

Each week, LouisvilleCatholicSports.com will be getting to know a new student-athlete from the area by asking him/her a series of 20 questions that will provide insight into the thoughts and personalities of the boys and girls who are doing great things on and off the local courts, fields, tracks, and courses.

  • Current Sports playing: Varsity Soccer and Varsity Basketball

1. What is your proudest athletic moment?

Winning regions in both soccer and basketball and advancing to state in the same year. 

2. What is your ideal snack before a game?

A nutella and banana sandwich.

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song?

“Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey.  

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why?

Abby Wambach because she shows how dedication and hard work can take you anywhere in life, even the Olympics.

5. What is your favorite movie quote?

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.” – Liam Neeson; Taken

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports?

God has given me these talents to play so I thank him before every game. We also pray the Hail Mary before every soccer and basketball game out loud as a team.

7. What is your favorite cartoon character?

Bugs Bunny.

8. All time favorite board game?

Scrabble.

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app?

I don’t have any of those but my dream is to get an iPhone and get the Pandora App.

10. What is your favorite local (non chain) restaurant?

Sake Blue.

11. What is your favorite reality TV show?

Keeping up with the Kardashians.

12. What is your greatest fear?

Getting shots.

13. What is your best quality/characteristic?

I am very optimistic and positive for my team, no matter the circumstances.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food?

Mini Reese’s.

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why?

My favorite hour of the day would be in the morning because I feel refreshed after a night’s sleep.

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it?

“Vic” because it is much easier to scream when we are running on the field or the court. 

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service?

Americana Community Center. We mentor at their afterschool program and help kids who have English as a second language with their homework.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess?

I can complete a Rubix cube.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why?

I would go backward because I love history and would like to relive my happy memories.

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask?

I would bring back the guy in invented the “tootsie pop” and ask him how many licks it takes to get to the center.
