Baseball: The Rocks varsity beat South Oldham 10-5 on Wednesday. Peyton Johnson picked up his first varsity win. The offense was powered by Tyler Marshall, Bobby Graven, Sean Dageforde and Tyler Hunt. Connor Hill smashed his first home run of the season over the center-field fence. Next up for the Rocks is Central Hardin on Saturday afternoon at Central Hardin.

Tennis: The Rocks fell to St. Xavier 5-0 on March 18.

Basketball: Senior Darryl Hicks committed to play basketball at Boston College. Hicks will attend the Kentucky Mr. Basketball ceremony. He is one of five candidates for the prestigious award.

Lacrosse: The squad continued its winning season with a 10-1 victory over Collegiate last Thursday night. Sophomore Jackson Lienhart scored six goals. The Rocks kept possession of “The Stick,” the trophy that goes to the winner of the regular-season game between Trinity and Collegiate. Trinity continued over the weekend at home with a 10-5 victory over Libertyville, Ill., and another win, 8-5, over Zionsville, Ind.

Intramural volleyball: In pool play on Wednesday, Burba’s team and Dunn’s team both picked up victories by forfeit. In a tough match that went three games, with the margin of victory being four points or fewer in all three games, Smith’s team defeated Winrich’s team. Mason’s team, although short-handed, stayed undefeated with a victory over Zarick’s team (Zarick’s team had an excuse, though, their hands were frozen from playing Ultimate Frisbee!) To round out the afternoon, Anderson’s team beat Powers’ team in two games.
