Each week, LouisvilleCatholicSports.com will be getting to know a new student-athlete from the area by asking him/her a series of 20 questions that will provide insight into the thoughts and personalities of the boys and girls who are doing great things on and off the local courts, fields, tracks, and courses.

Current Sports playing: Baseball

Parish/grade school attended: Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Colleges considering or attending: Kentucky Wesleyan (signed)

1. What is your proudest athletic moment? Winning the regional championship with the help of Miles Lee, Jack Cleary, and Andrew McCormick holding the rope.

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? Sam Melchior’s pregame cookies.

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? Derek Jeter. He is, in my opinion, one of the most respectable athletes of all time. He is also the greatest shortstop to ever live.

5. What is your favorite movie quote? “Bark twice if you are in Milwaukee!” Ron Burgundy in Anchorman.

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? I have learned that you can’t succeed in sports without complete faith in, your teammates, yourself, and God.

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Arnold from “Hey Arnold”

8. All-time favorite board game? Monopoly with Seth Combs.

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app? iPhone, and I check instagram every once in a while. (Marc)

10. What is your favorite local (non chain) restaurant? The Irish Rover.

11. What is your favorite reality TV show? River Monsters.

12. What is your greatest fear? Any of Miles Lee’s friends.

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? Reeling off puns with Jack Cleary and Andrew Hubbs.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Sun Chips, if Austin Gahafer leaves me any.

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? 7 a.m. on a school morning, because that’s when I get my morning coffee.

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it? Stem, because it’s just easier to say.

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service? Burying the homeless/poor with St. Joseph of Arimathea Society.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? I play the guitar.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why? I would go back and alter history by saving JFK and keeping Shoeless Joe Jackson from being a part of the Black Sox.

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask? I would ask Barry Bonds if he took steroids. It would clear up some unnecessary debating between our team.
