CSAA Toy Bowl Secures Presenting Sponsorship

Norton Healthcare named “Official healthcare sponsor of the CSAA”

Louisville, KY-August 27, 2013 – The Louisville Catholic Sports Network (LCSN) announced today that Norton Sports Health and Kosair Children’s Hospital are the official title/presenting sponsors of one of Louisville’s oldest sporting events, the Catholic School Athletic Association’s (CSAA) Toy Bowl. With funding support from the Children’s Hospital Foundation, this agreement marks the first time in the Toy Bowl’s 65 year existence that the event has a presenting sponsor.

Rick Arnold, Executive Director of the CSAA, said, “Having a company like Norton Healthcare become a sponsor of the CSAA is a great opportunity for our organization. It’s the first time in the history of the Toy Bowl that we have an official sponsor and we truly appreciate the support and the opportunity to have Norton Healthcare provide us with their outstanding services.”

The Toy Bowl features six championship games that are played on one weekend. Three 5th and 6th grade games are played on Saturday at St. Xavier’s Brother Thomas More Stadium and three 7th and 8th grade games are played at Trinity High School’s Marshall Stadium on Sunday. Approximately 10,000 fans attend the Toy Bowl games over the weekend. The 65th annual Toy Bowl will be held on November 2 and November 3, 2013.

“Norton Sports Health and Kosair Children’s Hospital are excited to be the first presenting sponsors of the Toy Bowl Championship in its 65 year history,” said Tom Kmetz, president, Kosair Children’s Hospital. “Beyond the Toy Bowl, we also look forward to exclusive involvement with over 20,000 student athletes during the 2013-2014 school year.”

In addition to the presenting sponsorship of the Toy Bowl, Norton Sports Health and Kosair Children’s Hospital have entered into an agreement as the CSAA’s official healthcare sponsor.

Matt Ayers, Vice-President of Surgical and Orthopedic services for Norton Healthcare, said, “We are pleased to be the official health and wellness sponsor of the Louisville Catholic School Athletic Association. Through this sponsorship, Norton Sports Health and Kosair Children’s Hospital will provide education to coaches, trainers, parents and students on the importance of staying healthy both on and off the field.”

The Louisville Catholic Sports Network will provide complete coverage of the 65th Toy Bowl that will include radio broadcast, video streaming and coverage on Photos and DVDs will also be made available.
