Since 1974 the Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic has served the local area for orthopaedic problems and musculosketal issues. The sports medicine program has team physicians for local high schools which provide sports physicals and urgent care for athletes.               

On a weekly basis, Louisville Orthopaedic Clinic is proud to sponsor the "20 Questions" that will feature a high school student-athlete in the local Catholic high school community. Current school: Trinity High School

Current Sports playing: Soccer and football.

Parish/grade school attended: St. Albert the Great

High school GPA: 3.99

Colleges considering or attending: Undecided.

Bio: I am the placekicker for Trinity’s football team. I also play soccer for Trinity and for a travel soccer team, Kentucky Fire Premier. I am in the advanced program at Trinity and I am currently taking five AP classes this year. I have refereed flag football for the first and second grade league at St Albert for the past three years.

1. What is your proudest athletic moment? I made a field goal late in the second half to force the game into overtime and then made the extra point in overtime to win the game against Moeller.

2. What is your ideal meal/snack before a game? Peanut butter jelly

3. If you were trying out for American Idol, what would be your "go to" song? I wouldn't be allowed on because I can't sing at all. I would have to send my friend Chris in my place.

4. Which athlete do you look up to on a college/professional level? Why? Peyton Manning.  He is a leader, a great player, and a role model off the field.

5. What is your favorite movie quote? "Tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper."Knute Rockne. I have been attending Notre Dame games since before I could walk.

6. How does your faith impact your approach to sports? My faith is what guides me through games and gets me through all the hard practices. I pray before every game and ask God to get everyone through the game safely. 

7. What is your favorite cartoon character? Sheriff Woody from Toy Story

8. All-time favorite board game? Monopoly, I always win. I love making a deal.

9. Droid, iPhone, or Blackberry? Favorite app? iPhone. Smash Hit.

10. What is your favorite local restaurant? Tony Boombozz.

11. What is your favorite reality TV show? Deadliest Catch.

12. What is your greatest fear? That I would a get jug and then face my parents. I have never received a detention.

13. What is your best quality/characteristic? Nice. Someone said I can only be mad at someone for three seconds.

14. Favorite junk/comfort food? Cookie cake.

15. What is your favorite hour of the day? Why? 9:00 p.m.  I finally arrive home after school, football practice and then soccer practice. I finally get to relax into two hours of calculus and physics homework.

16. What is your nickname and how did you get it?  Lefty. Coach Beatty did not know my name my sophomore year and so he just said, “Lefty, get in there” when he wanted me to kick. I am left footed. 

17. Where is your favorite place to volunteer/provide community service?  I have been helping to serve and cook the monthly meal at the Cathedral of the Assumption for the St Albert sponsored BBQ for the homeless since grade school.

18. What is one hidden talent that you possess? Cook. I make all the cakes and ice them for my family. I make a mean cherry chip birthday cake.

19. If time machines were real, and you could choose just one - to travel forward or backward - which would you select and why?  Forward.  I want to see what I'm going to become.

20. If you could pick one person, dead or alive, and ask them just one question that they had to answer honestly, who would you pick and what would you ask?  I would ask Mr. CM, my teacher, what is on the next physics test.
