Whipple sets Spalding track and field records

Spalding freshman sprinter Eric Whipple became the first track athlete in school history to claim All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships.

Whipple placed eighth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.76 seconds. The freshman then clocked a 21.26 seconds to claim fourth place in the 200 meter dash.

Kyle Jenkins represented Spalding the discus event and his throw went 48.96 meters good for 11th place.
