ALLENDALE, Mich. — Emily Frith's illustrious athletic career at Bellarmine University ended Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with yet another All-America honor.

The Knights' senior finished 11th in the 5,000-meter run to garner second-team All-America accolades at the GVSU Track & Field Complex. That performance was on top of her 10th place, second-team All-America finish in the 10,000 on Thursday.

Frith finished her storied athletic tenure at Bellarmine with two All-America acknowledgements apiece in cross country and track.

On Saturday, Frith raced to 11th at nationals after finishing in 17:10.36. For a time, she was in the back of the pack but steadily pushed past a battery of competitors.

"Emily ran extremely well," said Jim Vargo, Bellarmine's director of cross country and track and field. "She worked from 22nd or 23rd to 11th. It shows again how well she competes on a national stage."
