The visiting Bellarmine University men's soccer team rallied with two goals in the second half to defeat Georgetown College 2-1 on Sunday at Toyota Stadium.

Bellarmine freshman midfielder Christian Lister sank the tying goal with approximately 20 minutes left, while junior midfielder Jared Kemper drilled the game-winner with roughly 7 minutes remaining.

"It was good for our guys to fight back and get two goals in the last 25 minutes," BU head coach Tim Chastonay said.

Georgetown went up 1-0 in the second half after converting off a free kick. Lister delivered the equalizer when he got freed up after recovering a loose ball and beat the Georgetown goalkeeper one-on-one. Senior defender Brandon Shuck was credited with the assist.

Kemper scored the go-ahead goal when he roped a shot into the net from approximately 25 yards out. Sophomore forward Joe Workman set him up for the score.

"It was a very, very good shot," Chastonay said.

Bellarmine's freshmen saw action for the first time after missing the University of Evansville exhibition due to orientation commitments on campus. All available players recorded minutes for the Knights, including the team's four goalkeepers. When the Knights were down 1-0, many of the newcomers helped to turn the tide.

"The young guys performed quite well with a sprinkle of starters in there," Chastonay said.

After the exhibition ended, Bellarmine and Georgetown engaged in a penalty kick shootout just to practice the scenario. Bellarmine junior goalkeeper Tommy Hebert saved three of the four shots he faced. The Knights made three of their four kicks.

Bellarmine will conclude its exhibition season by hosting Spalding University at 7 p.m. Friday at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
