There will be a local tie at this Sunday’s Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas and he most likely will be a prominent part of the action.

St. Xavier alum Chad O’Shea (class of 1991) is the New England Patriots Wide Receivers Coach and will be making his third appearance on football’s biggest stage, Super Bowl 51.

New England’s wide receivers have set several franchise records under O’Shea’s tutelage. On January 22, wide receiver Chris Hogan broke a team record for most receiving yards in a playoff game against the Steelers in the AFC Championship.

O’Shea was hired as the Patriots WR Coach in 2009. This is his 14th season coaching in the NFL and 21st overall.
