Ben Rhodes wants nothing more than to get a win Saturday night at Iowa Speedway. But just completing the entire race without engine issues would be a victory in itself.

The Louisville native goes to the Hawkeye State needing a strong finish after last week’s disappointment at Texas. For the third time this season, Rhodes’ race was hampered by engine woes, which relegated him to a 16th-place finish.

“Hopefully we go to Iowa, there will be no issues and we can go there and get a win and lock ourselves into the playoffs because we’ve lost a lot of points these past few races,” said Rhodes. “I know we’re fast enough and we belong in the playoffs.”

In the last three races, Rhodes has dropped from second to sixth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings. Given his history at Iowa, Saturday presents a great opportunity for Rhodes to get his season back on track.

“I know that we will have an extremely fast Ford F-150,” says Rhodes. “Every single time we go to Iowa, it's been a successful track for me in the past. It's a track I look forward to each season and I think Iowa is going to give us one of our best chances to win throughout the year."

Along with finishes of 4th and 14th in two previous Truck Series starts at Iowa, Rhodes earned a victory at the track in the K&N Pro Series in 2014.

Through eight races, Rhodes has three top-5s, five top-10s, and one pole. He also ranks third in the series in laps led.

Race coverage from Iowa Speedway begins at 7:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
