KSCA releasing postseason awards

The Kentucky Prep Softball Coaches Association has started to release its postseason awards.

Mercy’s Lexi Ray has been named Sixth Region Player of the Year.

Assumption’s Connie Douglas (first team), Ashton Dowdy (second team), Braxton Downs (second team), Lindsay Espinosa (honorable mention), Maggie Metzger (first team), Jordan Ridge (first team), and Sydney Young (honorable mention) have been named to the All-Academic team.

Holy Cross’ Maddi Gailor (first team), Kailey Reed (first team), Kadi Weaver (second team), and Maddie Wilson (first team) have been named to the All-Academic Team.

Mercy’s Kennedy Higdon (first team), Ryan Ann Hobbs (second team), Tate McCormick (second team) , Taylor McGowan (second team, Mackenzie Newton (first team), Lexi Ray (second team), Jinhee Walsh (first team), Lexy Wright (second team) and Jill Vorreiter (honorable mention) have been named to the All-Academic team.

Presentation isn’t a member of the Coaches Association and is ineligible to have players on the team.

Sacred Heart’s Jessica Biernesser (first team), Katie Black (second team), Erica Johnson (first team), Jessica Smith (first team) have been named to the All-Academic team.
