Eagles stay unbeaten in conference play with victory

Since the Edgewood College women's tennis team started conference play, they have played lights out. That trend continued on Tuesday night at Lakeland College, where the Eagles topped the Muskies 9-0 for their sixth straight dual match win.

In doubles, the Eagles (7-3, 6-0 NAC) only dropped four games to the Muskies (0-6, 0-6 NAC). Amber Hemp and partner Jessi Ditzler beat Jenna Oberthaler and Brittany Myska 8-0 at No. 2 doubles while Ali Diamond-Tumbush and Brittany Storhoff topped Catie Campion and Meribeth Mazzi 8-0 in No. 3 doubles.

The Eagles were just as dominant in singles, with Hanna Pincsak winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Shae Beckwith topping Oberthaler 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Diamond-Tumbush and Kristen Boone each won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.  Edgewood College will have a chance to continue their streak when they return home to face Rockford College on Thursday at Rennebohm Park. The dual match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
