Bosco Still Atop CSN Power Rankings

Bosco retains top spot with resounding win over St. Edward  

1. Don Bosco Prep – Ramsey, NJ (5-0): The Ironmen jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead over No. 4 ranked St. Edward in their clash at Fordham University’s Jack Coffey Field and coasted to a 38-7 victory. Sophomore cornerback/running back/return man Jabrill Peppers scored three touchdowns to lead coach Greg Toal’s No. 1 ranked team.

2. Trinity – Louisville, KY (7-0): Trinity trounced undefeated DuPont Manual 58-7 behind running backs junior Dalyn Dawkins and senior Garrett Sauer combined 206 yards and 6 total touchdowns.

3. Our Lady of Good Counsel – Olney, MD (6-0): The Falcons improved to 6-0 with a 35-21 win over DeMatha Catholic.

4. Archbishop Moeller – Cincinnati, OH (7-0): Moeller defeated crosstown rival Elder 37-10. The Fighting Crusaders have three very tough games ahead of them as they host a solid Indianapolis Cathedral team on Oct. 14, travel to Lakewood, OH to play CSN.com’s No. 10 ranked team St. Edward and then finish the season in Louisville at No. 2 ranked Trinity.

5. St. Thomas Aquinas – Ft. Lauderdale, FL (4-1): The Raiders dropped a gut-wrenching 27-20 game in overtime to top 25 ranked Miramar (FL). Aquinas had a field goal attempt blocked late in regulation that sent the game to overtime.

6. Bishop Gorman – Las Vegas, NV (7-1): Pounded Pahrump Valley 69-0 to win their sixth consecutive game.

7. Central Catholic – Pittsburgh, PA (6-0): Defeated Plum high school 60-6. Speedy quarterback Perry Hillis was 6-8 passing for 186 yards and two scores.

8. De La Salle – Concord, CA (4-1): Finished a rough 4-game, cross-country road trek by traveling to Pleasonton, CA and defeating Foothill 39-3. Following their loss at St. Thomas, the Trojans have scored 101 points in their past two games and allowed only 3.

9. Servite – Anaheim, CA (4-1): Bye. Looking to re-group after a difficult 31-28 road loss to Bishop Gorman on Sept. 30.

10. St. Edward – Lakewood, OH (6-1): Lost to No. 1 ranked Don Bosco Prep 38-7 at Fordham’s Jack Coffey Field. Next two games are in Cincinnati against previously ranked Cincinnati St. Xavier and Archbishop Moeller.
