Villanova Brings in Impressive Group
15 commits for Talley's team and counting
Head Coach Andy Talley and the Villanova Wildcats have enjoyed a banner signing day, receiving 15 commitments from recruits at a variety of positions. Talley has led the Wildcats to national prominence in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as well as being a perennial power in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Wildcats have enjoyed several seasons of outstanding football, capped by winning the FCS in 2009, and losing in this past season's semifinal game at Eastern Washington.
With all of that success comes attention. And that attention has manifested itself into a stout 2011 recruiting class, with several of these prep stars coming from Catholic high schools in the fertile recruiting grounds of Eastern PA and New Jersey.
The faxes rolled in early and often and will keep coming throughout the day. Here's a partial list of the Villanova commits:
