Schroeder Named To All-American Showcase
Trinity High School LAX coach earns US Lacrosse honor
Following an unblemished 14-0 boys lacrosse regular season, the hits keep on coming for Trinity High School LAX Head Coach Pete Schroeder.
Nominated by St. Xavier Head Coach and US Lacrosse Area Chairman Scott Howe, Schroeder has been selected as one of the top high school lacrosse coaches in the country and will be one of the sideline coaches for Team Spirit during the ESPN RISE Games and Champion All-American Showcase in July.
Schroeder will team up with Foothill High School (CA) Head Coach Jon Fox to lead Team Spirit.
"I want to thank US Lacrosse for the nod here. I'm very proud and appreciative of the chance to coach so many great players and work with an outstanding coach like Coach Fox," said Schroeder. "It's really a tribute to the success of our program and I'm hopeful that everyone at Trinity (High School) will share this honor with me."
With the recognition, Schroeder is named one of the best 16 high school boys and girls lacrosse coaches in the country and will take part in the aforementioned 2011 Champion All-American Showcase, a US Lacrosse high school all-star event that will feature nearly 200 of the nation’s top players.
US Lacrosse returns the Champion All-American Showcase to the ESPN RISE Games July 17-22 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando. US Lacrosse fielded a large pool of applicants from coaches around the country and its area chairmen nominated the boys coaches, who were then selected by the US Lacrosse High School All-American Advisory Team.
The boys’ showcase takes place July 20-22, and the championship game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
