Five Catholic Universities Make It To Field of 64

 Sacred Heart Pioneers make it to the big dance 

Five Catholic Universities have made it to the NCAA Division I Baseball post-season tournament. The field of 64 has been set and it will include:

  • St. John's University - champions of the Big East Tournament.
  • Sacred Heart University - champions of the Northeast Conference.
  • Manhattan College - champions of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
  • San Francisco - champions of the West Coast Conference.
  • Seton Hall - at-large bid from Big East.

Manhattan will be making their third appearance in the NCAA tournament and playing in the Gainesville regional hosted by the University of Florida. They are the fourth seed in their regional.

Sacred Heart, a fourth seed in the Clemson regional, will be making their second appearance in the tournament in the past five years.

San Francisco will be the fourth seed in the Los Angeles regional after knocking off Gonzaga in the final game of the season.

Seton Hall will head to College Station, TX to play in the Texas A&M regional as the No. 3 seed.

St. John's will be the No. 3 seed in the Charlottesville, VA regional, hosted by the University of Virginia.
